Policies

All reservations are rain or shine. Customers are responsible for monitoring weather conditions and determining whether forecasted weather may impact their reservation prior to their scheduled rental time.Weather conditions such as rain, cloud cover, temperature changes, or typical summer storms do not qualify for refund.If a renter chooses not to proceed with their reservation due to forecasted or expected weather conditions, refunds will not be issued. However, rescheduling may be offered at the discretion of Lake Jordan Boat Rentals and is subject to availability.Lake Jordan Boat Rentals reserves the right to delay, shorten, reschedule, or cancel a rental in the event of unsafe or hazardous conditions, including but not limited to severe thunderstorms, high winds, lightning, or other conditions deemed unsafe at our discretion. In such cases, a reschedule option will be provided.All weather-related decisions made by Lake Jordan Boat Rentals are final.

All payments are non-refundable once a reservation is confirmed. Refunds will only be issued in the event of a cancellation caused directly by Lake Jordan Boat Rentals.If you are unable to make your scheduled reservation, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling options.

Rental Experience

Check-In ProcessPlease arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled rental time. A valid government-issued photo ID is required at check-in.All renters will complete a safety briefing (approximately 10–15 minutes), review and sign required rental documents, and complete a pre-trip inspection. Equipment operation and basic boating instructions will be provided before departure.Late arrivals may result in reduced rental time.

We recommend bringing: valid id, sunscreen, towels, cooler, snacks, camera, and cash for fuel. All required safety equipment is provided.

Requirements

Boat operators must meet Alabama legal requirements. Anyone operating the vessel must be at least 21 years old. Operators born on or after April 28, 1954, must have a valid Alabama Boater Safety Certification or equivalent.

A boat license is required. However, Alabama law requires a Boater Safety Certification for operators born on or after April 28, 1954. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure all operators meet state legal requirements prior to departure. Failure to meet legal requirements may result in cancellation without refund.

Damage & Liability

A $600 security hold will be placed on the renter’s credit card at check-in. This is a temporary authorization, not a charge, and will be released after the vessel is returned, inspected, and confirmed free of new damage.Normal wear and tear is expected. The renter is financially responsible for any damage, loss, misuse, negligence, or missing equipment that occurs during the rental period beyond normal use.If damage exceeds the security hold amount, the renter remains responsible for the full cost of repair, replacement, downtime, or related expenses.All damage determinations made by Lake Jordan Boat Rentals are final.
