Lake Jordan Boat Rentals – Rental Policy
1. Reservation & Payment
All reservations must be made in advance through our booking system. Full payment or required deposit must be completed at the time of booking to secure your reservation. A reservation is not confirmed until payment is received and confirmation is issued.
2. Required Waivers & Identification
All operators and passengers are required to complete a liability waiver prior to the rental.
- The primary renter is responsible for ensuring every passenger has a completed waiver
- A valid government-issued ID is required at check-in
- Failure to complete required waivers will result in denial of rental without refund
3. Operator Requirements
- The primary renter must be at least 21 years old
- The operator must have sufficient boating knowledge and experience
- Lake Jordan Boat Rentals reserves the right to deny operation if the renter is deemed inexperienced or unsafe, with no refund issued
4. Security Deposit / Damage Hold
A refundable security hold between $500–$1,000 will be placed on the renter’s card prior to departure.
- This covers damages, excessive cleaning, fuel, late returns, or violations
- Any damages or violations will be deducted from this hold
- Additional charges may apply if damages exceed the hold amount
5. Fuel Policy
Lake Jordan Boat Rentals provides an in-house refueling system for convenience.
- Fuel is not included in the rental price unless specified
- Customers will be charged based on fuel usage upon return
- No need to refuel prior to return
6. Pickup, Delivery & Return
- Rentals must be picked up and returned at the agreed time and location
- Late returns will result in additional charges
- Delivery options may be available for select locations
7. Weather Policy
Rentals are weather-dependent but not weather-guaranteed.
- Light rain, clouds, or forecast uncertainty do not qualify for cancellation
- In cases of severe or unsafe weather (as determined by Lake Jordan Boat Rentals), rentals may be rescheduled
- No refunds will be issued due to weather
8. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- All bookings are non-refundable
- Rescheduling may be allowed with sufficient notice, based on availability
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows will result in forfeiture of payment
9. Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Reckless or negligent operation
- Overloading beyond passenger limits
- Towing unauthorized equipment (unless approved add-on)
- Beaching the boat or operating in shallow/unsafe areas
Violations will result in immediate termination of rental with no refund and potential additional charges.
10. Damage & Liability
The renter assumes full responsibility for the vessel during the rental period.
- Any damage, loss, or misuse will be charged to the renter
- This includes prop damage, interior damage, or mechanical abuse
- The renter is responsible for all passengers and their actions
11. Safety Requirements
- All safety equipment must remain on board at all times
- Life jackets must be worn where required by law
- A safety walkthrough will be conducted prior to departure
12. Cleaning & Condition
Boats must be returned in the same condition they were received.
- Excessive trash, spills, or staining may result in cleaning fees
- Smoking policies (if applicable) must be followed
13. Area of Operation
Boats may be used on approved inland waterways. Renters are responsible for operating within safe and legal areas.
14. Right to Refuse Service
Lake Jordan Boat Rentals reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a rental at any time due to safety concerns, policy violations, or misuse of equipment.
